Goats
Our super friendly flock of goats each have their own character and are often up to no good. They all love to be fed, fussed and brushed by visitors.
Sheep
There is nothing more relaxing than spending time among our calm and cuddly mixed flock of sheep. Including rare breeds.
Pigs
Our resident pigs love to snooze. But there is so much to learn about them. For instance, did you know that they love a belly scratch?
Horses & Ponies
Whether grazing in the field or enjoying a good pamper session at Pony Care Club, our cheeky ponies love to greet visitors and show off their naughty side.
Birds
With chickens and cockerels, various duck breeds and geese roaming freely around the farm, you will be amazed to find out about their quirks.
Other Animals
No farm is complete without it's resident working animals. All of them like to greet visitors, when they are ready to take time out from their other duties.
Meet our Goats
Simba
Simba is a mixed breed goat.
He is a laid back lad and the father figure of the group.
We don't know how old Simba is, but he came to live at Fairfield in 2021.
Willow and Hazel
Hazel and Willow were born at Fairfield on 12th April 2026.
They are very inquisitive and are always getting up to mischief together.
The twin's mum is Coco, and their dad is Norman.
Oreo
Oreo is a mixed breed goat.
He is a quiet boy who is never found far from Simba.
Simba came to live at Fairfield in 2021 when he lost his mum as a baby.
Norman
Norman is an Angora Goat with large horns and a curly coat.
He is a gentle soul who loves a horn scratch.
Norman is dad to Hazel and Willow.
Malibu
Malibu is a three year old mixed breed goat,
He is the biggest goat at the farm and sometimes bashes the others to show he is the boss.
Malibu's mum is Coco.
Coco
Coco is a Golden Guernsey goat.
She bosses all the boys around and is always the first to the food.
Coco is mum to Willow, Hazel, Rolo and Malibu.
Rolo
Rolo is a two year old mixed breed goat.
He is always full of mischief and loves to climb and play on anything hanging.
Rolo's mum is Coco.
Meet our Sheep
Bertie (Albert)
Bertie is a one year old texel cross sheep.
Bertie was bottle fed as a lamb and will still try and climb on the volunteer's lap despite being very a big boy now.
Wally (Walter)
Wally is a one year old texel cross sheep.
He was born with wonky legs and wasn't expected to survive, but is now happy healthy and very cheeky.
Cookie
Cookie is a rare-breed North Ronaldsey Lamb.
She likes to think she is actually a dog and will happiky let herself into the staff caravan and lay at their feet. She walks on a lead and even gives her hoof for a tummy tickle.
Meet our Pigs
Hope
Hope is a Berkshire Saddleback cross and is four years old.
She lives with her daughter Milkshake and can normally be found snoozing in her bed.
Baby-Girl
Baby-Girl is a very large Gloucester Old-Spot cross.
She lives with Faith and looks after her. When not foraging for food of course.
Faith
Faith is an older lady who is a little bit deaf.
Because of this, she lives in an out of the way part of the farm that is not on public view.
Molly
Molly is a beautiful friendly all black girl.
She is Milkshake's sister but they had a falling out so now she lives with Rosie in another part of the farm.
Milkshake
Milkshake is a Tamworth cross and is two years old
She lives with her mum Hope and can generally be found covered in mud in her wallow.
Rosie
Rosie is almost identical to her sister Molly.
She can often be found happiky snuffling around her paddock looking for treats.
Meet our Horses and Ponies
Sparky
Sparky is a cheeky Welsh Cob who should be old enough to know better. Sparky can be very mischeivous and will role in any mud he finds. It's a good job he also enjoys a good groom.
Splash
Splash enjoys meeting people and having a good groom, he can he a little careless at times. His nosey nature means he will closely supervise anyone who is cleaning his area.
Quinn
Quinn is an elderly lady who has been retired from working due to injury. She is now a companion horse who loves carrots.
Meet our Birds
Muscovy Ducks
Our flock of muscovy ducks are always popular. Many of them are friendly enough to be picked up and cuddled. All of them will take food from your hand. They even wag their tails when they greet people.
Chickens
We have two flocks of chickens ranging the farm. They are often seen roaming around, especially in the pig pens. Keep an eye out for the chicks playing too.
Runner Ducks
Laurel is a lone runner duck that was born here last year. Sadly he lost his best friend Hardy to a fox earlier this year but he has become friends with the wild ducks and appointed himself dad to the babies that are currently growing up on the pond.
Cockerels
Each chicken flock has a mature cockerel looking after them. You may also see some younger ones around.
Toulouse Geese
Meet Tallulah and Bugsy our bossy pair of geese.
Despite being too old to have their own young, these retired duo adopted three goslings this year and couldn't be happier.
They are entirely dedicated to bringing up their babies, unless there is cucumber on offer...
Mallard Ducks
The mallard ducks around the farm are not actually ours. They are wild ducks, many of whom were born here, that choose to remain here.
Peacock
Our young peacock is finally reaching maturity and growing his impressive tail feathers.
Meet our Other Animals
Tilly
Tilly is the farm dog.
She may not look like what you imagine a farm dog to be, but don't tell her that! Tilly looks after the whole farm and will let volunteers know when people arrive or if something isn't right.
Jess
Jess is our chief rodent control officer.
When not hunting and keeping the hedgerows clear of critters she will likely be asleep in the Community Garden. She always makes sure to take a break from her duties to greet visitors.
Water Dwellers
Our ponds are full of wildlife and we also have a small fish pond in the garden.
In order to help our biodiversity, there is also an amphibian tank in the community garden that houses tadpoles, froglets, water snails and newts..
Hiro
Hiro is a trainee therapy dog.
He is not always onsite, but often visits to help his training around people and animals.
Hiro is still young and has a lot of learning to do.
